COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The course requires An A2 (CEFR) Placement Test Result. – GSE 36 – 42, which ensures that learners have the appropriate understanding of English and are ready to start learning English for Business at this level. The course is 50 hours long and is delivered over four weeks, with 24 contact hours and an additional 24 hours of online self-paced tasks with assessment. This course offers a comprehensive and structured approach to learning English for Business. It is suitable for learners and professionals who want to improve their language skills in a business context, need to use English in their job, or for anyone interested in pursuing a career in business. The course is delivered through a blended approach, which means that learners can attend virtual training sessions with a qualified trainer while also completing online self-paced tasks and assessments. This approach provides learners with the flexibility to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule. The course consists of four units that cover the essential language skills needed in a business environment. These units are designed to be practical and interactive, with a focus on real-life scenarios and situations. At the end of each section, learners are given a short fluency task to personalize the target language and apply what they have learned. In addition to the virtual training sessions, each unit includes additional activities, self-based tasks, and homework that learners can complete in their own time. This allows learners to practice their language skills and receive feedback from their trainer through the Learning Management System (LMS).

 COURSE OUTCOMES:

By the end of the course, learners will have improved their English for Business language skills and will be better equipped to communicate effectively in a professional environment according to the proficiency level. The commitment of the course implementer and course participants to the objectives of the course must eventually lead to the targeted outcome of taking the learners to the threshold of an B1 proficiency level. The course aims at helping learners to achieve an overall English language proficiency of Basic User defined as A2+ level on the CEFR, where the participant can:

• • Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
  • Introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
  • Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly.
